Vatican and Arab League sign agreement on Middle East peace

The Arab League and the Vatican have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the intention of promoting "peace and justice in the world". The announcement was made following a meeting of the Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa and Pope Ratzinger last Friday. The memorandum appears to be the fruit of an interfaith dialogue first proposed by senior Islamic clerics and later reciprocated by the Roman Catholic Church. Islamic clerics had urged the leaders of the Christian world to unite with Muslims around common essentials of religion, chiefly that they worship only one God and that they ascribe no partner to Him. Catholic leaders responded with a similar letter, calling for increased dialogue with the Islamic world based on the shared values of the love of God and the love of our neighbours. Leaders from both religions held their first ever interfaith summit last year. The details of this latest agreement have not been disclosed, but the Holy See have announced that it includes 'intercultural and interreligious dialogue' and focuses on achieving Middle East peace.

Thanks for dropping by. I'm trying to get my head around the different theories at the moment. Pre-wrath and pre-trib are relatively straightforward even allowing for some differences – day of the Lord etc. I’m finding it a bit harder to pin down premil post-trib even though that used to be my position. Try to find a good post-trib end time chart to see what I mean. Also, I need to become more familiar with the mid-trib arguments. They actually consider themselves pre-trib because they see the great tribulation as the ONLY trib. Consequently, some of them refer to themselves as pre-week.
Whatever the case may be – as long as He comes, I’m fine with His timing!
