Smearing Jews on British TV

The level and extent of global anti-Semitism never ceases to amaze me.

From Pajamas Media:

I am glad a bout of bronchitis felled me for a week because it allowed me time to gather the fallout from a scurrilous November 16 documentary produced by Britain’s Channel Four television, Inside Britain’s Israel Lobby.

From the moment narrator-producer Peter Oborne came on screen, I knew this was going to be one of those “lemme tell you about the Jooze” exposes in which every prominent Anglo-Jew is wheeled out as an example of the disloyalty and double allegiance of folks who support the survival of the state of Israel. Yes, I know there was the Larry Franklin case in which it was proven that a Washington insider was also double-crossing his nation and passing data to the Israeli embassy. I know there is Jonathan Pollard in jail for life for betraying the United States. Yes, there are bad Jews like Madoff and Maxwell and Levitt and Milken and hated Jews like Dick Fuld. So now that I have gotten the rotten apples out of the way, let’s talk about a nasty Channel Four show that seems to imply that the British government is being subverted by a very large gang in an endless parade of rich Jews determined to bully all of Britain into supporting Israel or else...Continue Reading

"Letter from Gaza - Captives"( New Yorker, Nov. 9, 2009) by Lawrence Wright, the acclaimed author of The Looming Tower; Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, promised to be a penetrating piece. It starts out strongly with an informative and captivating description of the evolution of the conflict in Gaza, but Wright's reliance on biased sources becomes increasingly apparent with each successive factual misstep. His journalistic insight flags entirely towards the end of the piece when he resorts to reciting dubious figures for Palestinian civilian casualties and destroyed civilian structures provided by biased sources...New Yorker's Lawrence Wright Proffers Palestinian Narrative

The Battle Over the Temple Mount

Zec 12:3 "It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

One of the main obstacles in previous peace-making efforts has been the issue of dividing Jerusalem and control over the Temple Mount. Muslim denial of Judaism's historical and religious ties to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, the Waqf's illegal construction there, and the violent response to Jewish activities there present an obstacle to peace-making efforts...Read more

Axis Of Evil: Did U.S. weakness invite North Korea's nuclear provocations? Like Tehran, Pyongyang has rejected Obama administration diplomatic overtures. Are these rogue states seizing a new opportunity? Talked To Death

Paradoxically, despite the alarming ongoing surge of Islamic religious and political extremism in Europe, the European Union and individual European countries seem poised for what could become the ugliest confrontation with Israel since the creation of the Jewish state. Crude threats are being conveyed to the Netanyahu government, making it clear that unless it capitulates to a series of demands, relations will be downgraded and boycotts may even be instituted. Unconfirmed rumors are circulating that the US State Department does not object to these European initiatives. Ugly vibes from Europe

Boo chose the wrong venue,"By addressing the "Islamic world" from Cairo, Obama lends credibility to the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and other advocates of political Islam who demand that Muslims be addressed globally and on religious terms..... Rather than buttress a loyal ally, Obama's speech undermines him on his home ground. That is a lose-lose proposition. For his trouble, Obama will get more bloodshed in Pakistan, more megalomania from Iran, more triumphalism from the Palestinians, and less control over Iraq and Afghanistan. Of all the available bad choices, Obama has taken the worst. It is hard to imagine any consequence except a steep diminution of American influence.

Charges of IDF "Wanton Killing" Crumble

Another report from CAMERA. Unfortunately, this sort of news does not get the coverage it deserves.

The brigade commander of the unit linked to alleged “wanton killings” in Gaza launched his own investigation after hearing of the charges, speaking with actual eyewitnesses, all of whom said that the alleged killings did not took place. The original charges, based only on hearsay and rumors, have therefore been refuted and should be retracted.

The brigade commander’s findings were reported in the Israeli newspaper Maariv, in a story titled IDF Investigation Refutes the Testimonies About Gaza Killings. According to the story:

Two central incidents that came up in the testimony, which Danny Zamir, the head of the Rabin pre-military academy presented to Chief of Staff Gaby Ashkenazi, focus on one infantry brigade. The brigade’s commander today will present to Brigadier General Eyal Eisenberg, commander of the Gaza division, the findings of his personal investigation about the matter which he undertook in the last few days, and after approval, he will present his findings to the head of the Southern Command, Major General Yoav Gallant.

Regarding the incident in which it was claimed that a sniper fired at a Palestinian woman and her two daughters, the brigade commander’s investigation cites the sniper: “I saw the woman and her daughters and I shot warning shots. The section commander came up to the roof and shouted at me, ?Why did you shoot at them.’ I explained that I did not shoot at them, but I fired warning shots.”

Officers from the brigade surmise that fighters that stayed in the bottom floor of the Palestinian house thought that he hit them, and from here the rumor that a sniper killed a mother and her two daughters spread. read more

From FrontPageMag:

The worst terror attack in Israeli history was narrowly averted Saturday evening.

Someone—it is not yet known who—managed to drive a car carrying 100 kilograms of explosives, mixed with metal ball bearings to maximize impact, into an outdoor parking lot of the Lev Hamifratz mall in Haifa. At about eight o’clock, when a malfunction in the detonation mechanism caused a small explosion, a civilian summoned police, and sappers were able to defuse the rest of the bombs. Near-Catastrophe in Israel

Blaming Israel for Mumbai

"The idea that Israel is responsible for the ‘clash of civilizations’ is not unique. It is often pointed out whenever Osama Bin Laden references Israel, which he rarely does, in the context that Israel and the ‘Middle East Conflict’ are fanning the flames of terrorism worldwide. There was no shortgage of voices after the 7/7 London bombings that wanted to show that Israel and the ‘conflict’ had ‘radicalized’ those who carried out the attacks."

"Jonathan Cook, a British journalist based in Nazareth, is the author of Israel and the Clash of Civilizations. He is a frequent contributer to the U.K’s Guardian and Observer as well as Le Monde and The Herald Tribune. In his book he argues that “from the early 1980s, it was Israeli policy to subdue the Palestinians, fragment Arab rivals, and foster ethnic and religious discord to maintain unchallengeable regional dominance.”"

Seth Frantzman of FrontPageMagazine.Com writes concerning the all-too common phenomenon of blaming Israel for Islamic attacks. The latest excuse to whip Israel is the Mumbai tragedy. You can read the article HERE.

The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (Camera) also reported that a recent article in the London Times contained an anti-semitic remark that seemed totally out of context to the Mumbai tragedy:
